We know, right about now you may be thinking "are the safe for solo travel" after all they are casino's. This is a great thought to have! The simple answer...YES. You will find that the casino staff at all of our casino's are professionals that take pride in the services they offer. Let's not also forget that the Douglas County Sheriffs office has a sub-station right down the street! But, just like any place, you will always want to watch your surroundings. Three Peaks Resort and Beach Club
3 Peaks Resort & Beach Club: located towards the end of Park Ave. A short (2 blocks) walk to a private beach. The resort will give you a pass to enter. Located close to shopping, the Heavenly Village and restaurants. 3 Peaks is a great choice for Solo Travel to South Lake Tahoe. The resort offers several room types that ranges from your standard hotel room to one and two bedroom suites. You can relax in the two level hot-tub or take a dip in the resorts seasonal pool.
Forest Suites Resort at Heavenly
Forest Suites Resort at Heavenly: This resort is perfect for Solo Travel to South Lake Tahoe for the location alone with the Heavenly Village right behind the resort and the Heavenly Gondola going right over the resort. You will be centrally located to the movie theater, restaurants, shopping. Basically everything the Heavenly Village offers. Plus you're close to Raley's Supermarket. A piece of advice, hit the Raley's deli for a sandwich and plan a hike around the Bi-State Park which is across the street from the Forest Suites. Some things to do around the resort include: the resorts lounge, two seasonal swimming pools and the resorts breakfast.
Black Bear Lodge South Lake Tahoe
Black Bear Lodge South Lake Tahoe: The Black Bear Lodge South Lake Tahoe is located on Ski Run Blvd. Solo Travelers will enjoy the area with four restaurants within walking distance, one of those restaurants is our favorite, the Blue Angel Cafe. You will also find the Ski Run Marina down the street and up Ski Run Blvd, you will have access to Heavenly Valley California Base Lodge. As for the lodge itself; You can enjoy the enclosed peaceful grounds and beautiful rooms. The lodge is very popular with couples, but you will find that several solo travelers also enjoy staying as well. The old owners used to do wine and cheese tastings and meals. We do not think that the new owners really changed much with the place, but you may want to check with them.
Basecamp South Lake Tahoe: Basecamp South Lake Tahoe is a fun and relaxing Solo Travel to South Lake Tahoe option. The accommodations are right in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. Solo travelers will find a short (5 minute) walk to the lake, short walk to the Heavenly Village and the Gondola. You can enjoy the Hideaway Bar that is in the lobby and exclusively for guests. A beer garden that is open to the public, lobby decks with S'mores available daily and a spa deck with firepit. As for the rooms; You will find a few options that range from queen bed rooms to king bed rooms. A cool room to check out is the "great indoors" a camping themed room.
